Hello and welcome, folks. Let me introduce myself. My name is Mary, more commonly called Candy. I am Glad you are here to find out “About Us.”
And about our amazing community of supportive, positive members, always willing to assist you.
Introduction to the Me of About Us
Three years ago, I was fortunate enough to have a financial panic attack. Even though it did not seem so fortuitous at the time. This led me to investigate a web page I had downloaded and saved for future investigation. I pushed panic aside, read, and researched the saved article. Even though sage advice warns against making important decisions during a crisis, I took a gigantic leap of faith: I called the listed phone number and joined the online work-from-home community that very day.
I am in the last quarter of my existence. I was born in El Paso, Texas. I now live in a small town in the southwest corner of Missouri called Wheaton. I love it here. I tell people I have dead people and cows for neighbors. There is a cemetery diagonally to my home, and cows graze on three sides of my property.
Over the years, I have worked as a hotel maid, my first job. Other than bartending, I worked in every position in the food industry for over 23 years across a range of establishments. I was a department manager at Walmart and worked in a call center for American Express, where I handled high-yield corporate accounts. This job was the one I liked best of all the others. I wrote and published a novel.
Once again, I have reinvented myself by joining the online, work-from-home business. I am a professional marketer. Most of all, with this newest endeavor, I am finally having the time of my life. One of the best parts, and there are many, is that I have met and made friends with the most incredible, uplifting, helpful, sharing, and positive people I have ever known. Being a technotard has taught me so much about computers and how to make them work for me.
Now, About Us will Tell You More About Me
Most of my ancestors have lived to 97 years old. My dad moved us often to various parts of the U.S. With all the moving, I did not learn to read beyond a first-grade level until I was 25. Since then, not only did I learn to read, I have also written and published a novel. I failed at marriage twice, and have a son and a daughter. I have 7 grandkids and 2 great-grandkids.
I am a real person with strong ideas and opinions on many topics, not all of which I share with anyone. I was raised that there were subjects not open for discussion, and I still feel that way. I have reinvented myself many times over. Since my life is still under construction, I may reinvent myself a time or two more. With
How I Became Part of About Us.
My financial panic attack resulted from my SUV malfunctioning only 5 weeks after a full hip replacement. I was not supposed to drive yet. (We won’t tell my doctor I was driving 2 and a half months early.)
I could not go to work. Who would hire me without a doctor’s release, and at my age? Almost everything computer-related, except using the docs for writing fiction novels, was foreign to me. Even though I am a self-titled technotard (A word of my own creation putting part of technological and retard together).
Surprisingly, within 3 days, I owned my very own website. I have a very easy-to-remember website address. I have built into what you will find when you visit, I am proud to say. That made me an official part of the About Us.
At first, I just wanted to make enough greenbacks to fix my vehicle so I could drive after my doctor released me to do so. While I was waiting another 2.5 months for that to happen, I started writing pages on topics I knew and understood; topics that were important to me. I thought people would like to hear about thoughts and ideas from a granny type. Then I tackled pages I knew little to nothing about. Once I learned to read, I found I liked researching all sorts of topics.
Now, I am only an occasional ‘technotard.’ I have had more fun than I thought possible writing the pages for my website. Boy, I learn so much in the process. For years, my interest has been in writing fiction novels and in seeing them published globally. The articles/blogs I write are published globally. And I did not need an agent or editor to do so. Woohoo!

For visitors to my website, I share information about the latest discoveries in biohacking science and the remarkable products that result from their research. I have even explained the positive effects they have had on my own health.
