Understanding empaths is not easy for them nor for other people. What you feel isn’t just yours as an empath. We are sensitive to all energy.
Like roughly 20 percent of the population, I am an empath. In fact, I am what is known as an Intuitive Empath. Research now admits this fact to the world.
Until recently, I was unaware that there was a name for what made me feel so different from my family and almost everyone I have met.
At this point, you are probably wondering what exactly an empath is. This video is your first introduction to the realities of an Empath.
I know you have heard of and know what empathy is and means. However, being an empath is different than just being able to express empathy. Because we are born without the filters to block stimulation like the other 80 percent of the population, we have an extremely reactive neurological system.
Our bodies are porous. We absorb both the positive and the negative energy all around us. It enters our muscles, organs, and tissues. Unfortunately, we have little guard up between ourselves and others. Some empaths manifest symptoms called “empathic illness. To understand how an empath feels, these intense levels of sensitivity are comparable to having hundreds of times more nerve endings than a regular person. Truly, we are “super responders.” We feel everything to different degrees depending on the category each empath falls into.
Understanding empaths are emotional sponges
Understanding empaths are emotional sponges who absorb both the torment and the joy around us. Most often, we feel everything as deeply as those around us, be it joy, sorrow, elation, or anger. This results in our being overwhelmed by excessive stimulation and prone to sensory overload and exhaustion. Also, we require more alone time to expel or recover from sensory overload. As I stated, roughly 20 percent of the population has high sensitivity, and the degree of an empath’s sensitivity varies.
We are often hypersensitive to light, sound, smell, taste, touch, and temperature. Certain strong smells and chemical odors, diesel fumes, and most perfumes make me nauseous. I can tolerate warmer temperatures, but I am very sensitive to the cold, especially on my feet. The same with scratchy, stiff fabrics.
Understand, Intuitive Empaths can also tell things about a person that are not spoken, as well as future events that more often than I like to admit, actually happen. When I lived in Southern California, I lived less than two miles from Camp Pendleton’s front gate. When Desert Storm started, the servicemen I knew from Camp Pendleton knew they would be shipped out. They came to me and asked if they would be returning home. I knew the answer they were wanting, and I knew that answer. I never lied to one of them, even though I told them all yes, they would come home. Thankfully, I had moved to the Midwest before I saw how the men I knew came home.
Have you ever been told?
All my life, my parents told me, “You are too sensitive.” “You wear your heart on your sleeve; you needed to toughen up.” “Grow a thicker skin!” And “You cry too easily.” “You’re a crybaby, (recently resurrected).” “Crying was a sign of weakness.” “Why can’t you just grow up?”
Soon, other relatives and friends joined the name calling slurs. As people began to realize I was different in this way, they treated me very differently, as if I were Satan spawned and could or would curse them or cast an awful spell upon them. There were times when that ability would have come in handy! Ultimately, this led to name-calling. Understanding an empath’s ability to feel another person’s feelings in their own body can be very upsetting for both parties.
Isn’t sensitivity a sign of compassion? Isn’t it better to be sensitive to another person’s feelings than to be harsh and cruel? Has there ever been a time throughout history when more sensitivity, empathy, and kindness would not have been a truly good thing?
The song “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” with lyrics by Hal David and music by Burt Bacharach, was released on April 15, 1965, in the middle of the Vietnam War. The sentiments of the song are as meaningful and true now as they were then. It was first recorded and made popular by Jackie DeShannon on the Imperial label. It peaked at number seven on the US Hot 100 in July of that year.

An Invisible Energy Field Everyone Possesses
Do you remember hearing the phrase, “a gut feeling”? This phrase comes from feeling the energy fields around you in your chakra’s gut area, especially when it is harmful. Everyone has an invisible energy field surrounding their body, a subtle, radiant light that penetrates and extends beyond it by inches or even feet. This field communicates information about emotions and physical well-being or distress.
Understand, an empath’s own energy field can read the fields of those around them and feel what all those people are feeling at once. These energy fields overlap when in a crowd. For this reason, I avoid airplanes, malls, stadiums, concerts, and crowded elevators when possible. Pretty much any place with a lot of people packed together.
Emotional Overload is The Empath’s Biggest Challenge:
Empaths absorb the pain, frustration, or sadness, joy, and elation of those around them. Over time, this leads to burnout, anxiety, or emotional misperception.
We must learn how to protect and clear our energy fields as an empath — not by hardening our hearts, but by setting healthy boundaries, using grounding practices, and understanding our energetic needs. Understanding an empath’s energy and sensitivity may be difficult for the other 80 percent of the world, but it is imperative that you at least try.
Just a Few Simple Skills and Tools;
It is imperative to understand that empaths deserve, need, and want peace in their life. And we can achieve this without becoming a hermit. We benefit significantly from using calming and protective tools such as:
- Walking barefoot in grass, sand, and water.
- Meditation in a calm, peaceful, positive location without interference.
- Getting out in nature often.
- Breathing exercises for energy clearing.
- Using crystals such as Black Tourmaline and Amethyst.
- Select Brazilian crystal for its collected, centered vibrations to support focused meditation.
- Be careful of essential oils, as empaths are sensitive to strong smells.
- Adding whole foods to our diet
Especially being in and around water often — I think I should have been a mermaid! I am learning to use several of these methods to center myself and shield myself when I feel my exposure to excessive energy is affecting my energy balance.
This particular 1/5th of the population should not just be written off as too weird for regular people to deal with. There are a lot of things to be said for being extra sensitive to the world’s feelings and emotions. And right here is where you can find answers to any questions you may have.
An Unexpected Revelation!
The Saturday before Mother’s Day, there was a dinner at church to honor moms. I remained in the room with the other attendees for quite a while after I finished eating. In the past, at an event such as this, I would be found in the kitchen, alone, with my hands in hot, soapy water. Just the short time it took to finish my dinner, I needed to escape the crowded room and all the people.
Thinking back on the night, I realized the only difference was a small device I wear that shields me from EMF. This little medallion shield is about five feet in radius. I’m not saying the people at church emit Electro Magnetic Frequencies, but we all emit energy! Being an empath. We are very sensitive to all types of energy. This little medallion, about the size of a silver dollar and twice as thick, is helping me be more social with far less sensory overload and less recovery downtime.
EMF Radiation— Electro Magnetic Frequencies Radiation is a hidden threat that is around us everywhere. How about we start with the single device emitting EMF we are exposed to more than almost any other device — our smartphones. Do you know that Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg do not hold their cell phones to their ears to listen or talk? They are well aware of how much harm a cell phone can do to the brain when held against the head.
On top of other EMF-emitting devices we are exposed to daily, we are also exposed to: microwaves, laptops, computers, smart TVs, regular TVs, electric stoves, washing machines, dryers, the wiring in your home, solar flares, and high-voltage power lines. Then there are the machines and electrical components around you at work. Now, we have electric automobiles to add to the EMF list of hazardous emission contributors.
All these emit radiation that can harm our cells
That’s right! All these emit radiation that can harm our cells and heat them and our body tissue. They certainly can unbalance the sensitive energy within us without us even realizing why we feel weird, tired, achy, anxious, or have chronic headaches and brain fog. The EMF radiation can make us so out of sorts that we fight and argue more frequently and harshly with people we care about. It can also disrupt our sleep, cause fatigue, and increase our stress levels. And make it more difficult to unwind and relieve the stress build-up.
To make matters worse, the WHO — World Health Organization classified all radiofrequency radiation from mobile devices as a potential class 2B carcinogen. And we carry it around as though it were something that had been surgically attached to the palm of our hand. David O. Carpenter, a professor of environmental health sciences at the University at Albany, states we are now exposed to 1,000,000,00,000,000,000 (that is 1 quintillion) times more radiation than we were ten years ago. Almost makes you want to wear an aluminum hat! I wonder if you can still get a suit of armor?
The pretty little medallion is a state-of-the-art wearable biohacking device that contains the proprietary Biohacking Enhancement Technology (BET) designed to help us stay “finely tuned” to our natural energy frequency in a world of external and internal stressors, including electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and other electrosmog elements ever-present due to our demand for a lifestyle based on convenience.
This medallion, powered by cutting-edge technology, not only blocks but also harmonizes by transforming harmful frequencies into balanced energy. And we all need to stay balanced. It utilizes advanced materials assembled with proprietary earth-grounding frequencies to create a protective field around us. It not only blocks negative energy, but it also harmonizes by transforming harmful frequencies into balanced energy. Slick, don’t you think? This ensures we stay in tune with our natural, balanced energy and helps us anchor ourselves to the earth’s balancing energy.
All these elements synergize to counteract the effects of electrosmog and other stressors in a harmonized manner. The Earth’s pulse, resonating at 7.38 Hz within the ionosphere’s charges, forms the Schumann Resonance. It aligns with Alpha and Theta waves in our brains, is associated with calm states, and fosters cellular regeneration, enhanced learning, memory, balance, and stress tolerance. All in all, folks, it is safe to say if you are breathing and have a pulse, you should not put off wearing this amazing medallion.
